Adnan Sami Khan was born on 15, August 1973 in Britain where he completed his most of the education. His father Shaher Yar Khan was a Pakistani Diplomate and mother Nauren was an Indian. He started playing Piano from the age of five and started composing from the age of nine.
Adnan Sami was motivated to be a musician by Asha Bhosle who spotted his talent in an R D Burman concert in London at a tender age of 10. After his short meeting with the melody queen he moved on to learn Indian classical music from renowned Pakistani classical teacher Mahraj Khatak and Santoor maestro, Pundit Shivkumar Sharma. He later went on to graduate from the University of London where he developed his musical style and technique on the Piano. He evolved a new sound which he pioneered and ultimately introduced to the world thus becoming the first person to play Indian Classical music on the electric Piano. His family is currently based in Texas, United States
