Jim Corbet was born in India and had a strong love of the country and its people. He was a hunter but also a naturalist and conservationist believing in the protection of animals. He was responsible for killing many famous man eating tigers and leopards in villages. The Indian Government renamed The Corbet National Park in Kumaon in his honour. He wrote six books about his exploits and about India, I have two of those. Jim Corbett National Park lies in the Nainital, Pauri Garwhal and Bijnore Districts of Uttaranchal.
