Why there was selling of stocks by FIIs in the months of march, april & may?

You might have heard "Sell in May and Go away". FII's unlike us enjoy summer vacation in "Caribbean islands" and Hawaii islands in those months. Its called market timing.
These fellows also do some positive things like setting fire to stocks from October to the following year. They call it as Santa Rally. So behave like those FII's and enjoy
