It was Amba ! who is in love with Salwa King but since Bhisma abducted her for his brother Bichitrabeerya Salwa king did nt accept her.Therefore she insisted Bhisma to marry her but since Bhisma was under pldege to remain bachelor he refused so Amba promised to take revenge & in her next rebirth she borned as a gay man named Sikhandi to the King Dhrupad..........And he became the reason for Bhisma 's death.

Shikhandi was princess Ambalika in previous birth and in this birth she was there to take revenge to Bhisham Pitamah
