When my PC got affected my virus, i bought the Kaspersky antivirus, but it has slowed done the PC drastically. so which free download antivirus can i use ?

Install Avast 6.0 and free from all worries. This is only antivirus who provides boot scan. Once you install dont forget to uninstall after cleaning yours computer.

If system is critical for you, use Norton even if you have spend some money.
If aanything is free or claimed to be free, be cautious about it :P

No ur wrong. kaspersky is the best among all antivirus. just leave to update that antivirus kaspersky and restart system by virus scanning after this process ur pc will become speed.

Avast home version 4.8 from www.avast.com kaspersky actually slows down response on out pcs. i had kasper sky now replace with avast and i have no speed problem now

Use Symantec or, Norton. But, the slow down that occurs in your PC, it may be due to your operating system.From my personal experience,I will recommend you Symantec.
