It is a wrong perception. Though CNG is cheaper than LPG, CNG kits are 4-5 times costlier than LPG kits. Apart from this, running cost comes almost same. Now talking about the Petrol Auto Rickshaws, suppose you have 2 choices- Petrol version at Rs.20/- a kilometer & LPG/CNG at Rs.15/- Kilometer, which one will you choose? It will create confusion & also end up in less business for petrol autos. This will a bigger blow from them than getting lesser profit.
