No our government thinks we are all rich;because they have their famous yardstick of twenty eighty rupees per day. it is obvious any one who is owning a vehicle will earn more then that amount. The tax component on petroleum products in India is around 45-48 %. Besides,we import these products as our domestic production is inadequate.The tax component has to be reduced to make available these products at a better rate.Answered by Damodar Biswal, 17 Feb 10:13 am
