No. They will find it difficult to get sleep for some time but later in the night, they will get good sleep.

Those who claim to do hard labor are in a better position to testify for this. But in my opinion, those who really work hard, and do good bit of manual work, sleep to recuperate the body from the exhaustion . For them, sleep do matter, irrespective of whether it is in afternoon or night. The self proclaimed hard workers may have different story to tell.

It all goes with one's habit. If one is habituated to have sleep in the afternoon, still he/she get sleep in the night. But you do it once in a way, then you will not get sleep in the night if your quota of sleep partly had in the afternoon.

..not always true.
But if you do not get sleep at night, and you have been sleeping during the day, it will surely help to increase the sleep at night by avoiding day time sleep.

If one sleeps soundly for quite sometime in the afternoon, one may not get a good sleep during the night..... If it's just a nap one should be able to sleep soundly at night ...
