There was a couple in the village neighbouring mine in Goa. The man was Lawrence and the woman, Prudencia. The woman was blind. Lawrence fell in love with her and married her against the wishes of his family. They lived long and always used to move hand in hand. Their love story is like that of Romeo and Juliet - remembered by all the people in their village and the surrounding villages.
In their old age, they used to beg by visiting every house. They are no more but their love has become immortal.

Blind people have their own SEEING.
Have u ever wondered whether blind people DREAM?
They DO dream, but in a way they perceive the world, in their own non-visual way. Same is true of their LOVE as well. I feel that their blindness may even be helping them in moving up in love... better than us. Because vision brings a lot of DISTRACTION which blind people are free from!

The essence of love is in feeling it and not just seeing it. The person who loves the blind person, despite of his/ her visual disability, most likely loves him/ her for what he/she really is! It could be said that blind people are more likely to get true love than people with no disability
