I dont think one/we shud worry abt it much, its a lovely feeling to be emotional, isnt it??? One can feel the pain, the love, the expressions ..... so what if at times it hurts, after all, to gain something one has to lose something na, what say?

Women generally are more emotional than men. It is because they are more instinctive than men. They think instinctively rather than consciously. That is the root cause of all the problem. They must learn to reason, and use logic rather than allow themselves to be guided by emotions and the problem will be automatically sorted out.

Emoting is a quality not all are blesed with. An emotional person is one who really can feel the sense of exihalaration...of sadness...of anger at discrimination...for the under priviledged. Its a super quality dear...and if one is not emotional...he lacks the sincerity of feeling for others...for self. Thats what makes him/ her a creative person too...and pushes her to undo wrongs ...to help others in need...to be expressive of his / her angst.
Some persons like self...are probably overtly emotional...and thats not a very good trait...but that does not take away from the fact...that we emotional guys are persons with a concience...and at least strive to become better humans.
Yeah...despite knowing of our weakness...despite others trying to use it against us...despite easily succumbing to emotional black mail...we cannot become less...and there are no rational explanations except our upbringing...our genes !!

The self esteem in us has to be empowered, then the emotion cannot over power us. Forgiving is the path of Love. To develop Forgiveness,

To fill your self with a virtue or power, which you feel you lack inside yourself, try the following exercise. Suppose you feel that you lack Forgiveness. To increase this virtue inside you, sit comfortably in a pleasant room with your eyes open.

Withdraw energy mentally from everything around you not to reject or resist, but to turn your attention inward. You might think of how a tortoise withdraws into its shell to detach itself from the outside world, but carrying the experience of the world with it inside its shelter.

Create a point of consciousness. Focus on the centre of your forehead. Think of this point as a radiant star, a sparkling jewel, a flame or a being of light. This will transmit positive energy, making you feel good about yourself.

Affirm this positive energy through positive thoughts and images about yourself such as ...more

Try sincerely,honestly.
old habits die hard.
sit cross leged silently calmly with mildly closed eyes.
watch the incoming and out going breath.
during watching without any reaction just see your emotions and suffering due to emotion.
meditate to see emotions .and suggest them to go away for your peace.
this auto suggestion will work .

As emotional nature creates problems, It also gives us happiness..
think about finding first love and haveing late night parties with friends... Its awsome

as it works both ways, Nature gives us freedom to choose whether you want to live or die... as we can do suicide also then why not be less emotional ..

An emotion is a strong feeling about anything. For one's own sanity, always remember that attaching too much importance to anything and then being overawed by what happens later on and then feeling struck down internally with our inner conscience. Most of our emotions have to do with people and events centred around people who are part of our life in one way or other or would like to be part of our life one way or other. We let events or words or actions of others affect our own peace of mind for no reason, not realising that we are damaging our own peace of mind alone where as those who caused it woud go around as if nothing has happened.

There is a saying : "Why Waste Time Thinking about People who otherwise wouldn't even have you in their thoughts". If we start telling ourself in a convincing manner that 'I would not let any body be the cause for it and strictly adhere to it", one would stop getting upset by such happenings. Normal emotions are part and parcel of human traits. I ...more

Bcoz they are blessings...one is luckier if blessed wid a nature consisting of fair amount of emotion...basically emotions are not a item of trading which we can buy or sell...hence , we have to enjoy it wid its shortcomings which are never significant enough in totality to make an artificial modification to one's own nature...bcoz such forceful changes are more dangerous..

The problems are not because of emotions, but how we take or express these emotions. Anger is as much an emotion as love. One needs to have a balanced outlook with these in view, then only one is able to respect others' rmotions, otherwise, it becomes personal emotion-centric or Selfish.

At times humans are overwhelmed by emotions. Unlike rest of the species, humans emotions are unpredictable too. Only through acquring experience, we can have some say on emotional count of others and ourselves. Key to the success is understanding and respecting others view points. Misunderstanding seems to be the major cause behind several emotional athyaachar.
But, there are great books to guide us to control and handle own and others emotions.
