Nothing much , on that day it is a holiday. hence i will be at home whole day doing nothing. Moreover, south Indian use to prepare some munchy items like Murukku, Thatta and chedai etc i and appam etc on Janmashtami day after doing pooja at home , i will munch these so called items and for Ganesh Chaturthi day, even though we are not having any practice of keeping idols at home, we do pooja at home by offering Ganesh his favourites, begining with idlis, kozhakattai, ( modak) , salt as well as jaggary and ofcourse appapm with avil etc. In the evening , i along with my family use to go to my friends house to see Ganesh Idols and go to other places to watch Ganesh idols. these i will do every year. that is a practice i always do. this year also no exception to the rule.
