I returned from Ahmadabad by Navjeevan express to Chennai the Railway coaches are very nasty and clumsy ,the toilets are very poor in sanitation without locking bolts and people swarm in reservation carriages and sleeping in allies and near toilets , the catering is very bad ,- How the Indian Railways boast of quality and service ?

Who said indian railways BOAST of quality and service. they only say they are trying their level best to provice good service, and they fail miserably. would u beleive i have stopped travelling in trains since 1983 just because of these kind of experiences

This is what one can get when unruly people crowd the stations.
They beat up the Police/TC when they question them. There are certain sectors of railways this always prevails. Mumbai Gorekh Pur / Netravathi(particularly second class compartments during the summer seasons).
The 2nd AC or First AC/First Class is the far safest way of railway mode.
Really a poor state of affair and need immediate attention by Railways and the RPF.

I am inclined to agree with you. MK was having a good alliance with UPA and his government has ignored the facilities provided or not provided rather, by Railways in South bound trains.This has to be strongly taken up with the Centre by the Sourthern States.
