Judges have been known to have received huge amount of money and other benefits for themselves through their family members.
Even in this case, it could be the same i.e. bribes by the political opponents or even pressure from the terrorists.
Anything can happen in that country. We should not be surprised at all.

Over the last couple of years the Pakistan Supreme Court is the only institution which has got the trust of the common people. This was apparent when President Musharraf tried to dismiss the Supreme Court Chief justice and the people reacted sharply against it. Pakistani democracy has never been very strong because it is being dictated to often by the military. Isn't it a shame that Asif Ali Zardari who during the regime of Ms Benazir Bhutto was known as Mr. 10 percent is today the president of the country. The democratic leaders realise their limitations and know thieir tenure could be short lived and that too with no power to exercise, so they indulge in
