Only the eyes speak the truth, neither the mirror nor the lips. Only the person who loves you can see the pain in your eyes while everyone else still believes in your smile

The Upanishads wrote that heart is the seat of the soul. Ancient Roman
philosophers wrote that soul looks through the eyes and expresses its
awareness.
"What then, the entity asked, is a soul? What does it look like? What is its plane of activity and experience? How can we find one? It may not be separated in the material world from its own place or abode (Soul School) in the physical body, yet the soul looks through the eyes of the body, which it handles with emotion and a sense of touch, so that it may be aware in every sense, through these factors, and thus add to its body and soul-growth, just as food of the material world affects the growing physical body, in which the soul may and does indeed dwell, in its passage or activity during any individul phase of a life experience on earth" - Edgar Cayce
