Q.

Whenever there is a question about takinga bribe or being corrupt or even supporting corruption I see everyone answering that they absolutely oppose it and never ever support it.I wonder if all of us are so so honest citizens then where does the corruption come from?

Reminds me of a short story.
A wise man approached by a fellow citizen, who told him;
A cow was killed today. Your cow killed my cow.
The wise man said; It is not in my hands. such things happen.
the citizen then told the wise man:
Actually my cow killed your cow.
That made the so called wise man furious.
We live in double standards in our life.

The TRUTH is that........., not all of us are honest, although we pretend to be so.......; u will find very few honest people living in our country....., or else, our country would have been a utopia.........

We are against corruption when it comes to others benefiting from it but very pro corruption when it comes to benefiting our children and our family. If we see A. Raja taking bribe for giving HIS family more benefit we are like "EVIL SCUMBAG!" but when a school or collg asks 4 donation money 4 our wards, 99.5 percent of us oblige gleefully. If our child opposes us paying bribe, we shoot right back with a "son (or beti) this is real life. U can't be idealistic in real life."

Corruption in India originates right here from the mango man's gut.
