Hi Nanak Raj, LG WRman Greg here,

There are many possible applications for 3D technology in different aspects of life:

- 3D printing has been recently on the rise, helping designers visualize their ideas easily and effectively.

- Digital Art is another great field that can optimizes the potential of 3D technology.

- Medical field: as someone says, 3D could be and, according to what I know, has been used to help surgeons to a get better perspective of the patient's internal organs and conditions before the actual surgeries.

Well, All i can say is that the market share of 3d is increasing day by day. We can easily see many bollywood movies coming up in 3d which is for sure going to increase the use of 3D.
When it comes to 3D being expanding outside TV and Projectors, i think We are not yet ready for this so better keep it to TV only.

3 D stands for 3 dimensions where a picture looks from different angle just like a 3 D printer can print anything which looks like a real one and the printout you can use as real. Every picture made from 4 dimensions front, back, left and right. From 3 D technology we can see only three dimensions i.e. front, left and right, back side is hidden so we cant see neither from open eyes nor from any technology.
Just for example if you print a toy then the printout will be similar to real one and you can play with print out. This technology is used only to see the depth of the picture and from different angle.
