10-12 yrs minimum , if maintained well they can long last to even 30-40 yrs. See basically these days we have semiconductor components in the Computer and not that old days vacuum tubes. In fact you can keep your computer in ON state form the time you buy to days and years ! only a cool temperature is the requirement. If used well and maintained at good decent temperature, your computer will last for very longer period of time.

10 years. I have 8086 based computer still in working condition at my sister's place may have been bought in late 80's .... !!
