It is the tax payers money which is being distributed back to govt employees. and the emploiyees are again paying tax on these increased earning. pay increase is in line with central govt. sixth pay commission The Tamilnadu govt has N O hand in this. they had no option but to implement it. if mr karunanidhi or his faimily does anything for common public with their personal money, then u can call them great, give me the charges of the government and the treasury and i will sanction much more for general public and give them rice at 0.50 paise per kilo. the govt has not done anything special at all

Spoken like a Tamilian which you obviously are. But I have the same experience in Maharashtra where I hail from.And I feel, with some exceptions, all State governments are more or less similar. One hardly reads about strike by any government servant , at lelast on such matters.
