Yes. It appears that there is an across the board distrust of politicians of all hues and colours and political affiliations. They say in Tamil "ore kuttaiyil ooriya mattai"

The "trust" is affecting the whole electoral process. Most of the people in India are fooled by tactics of the politicians and end up voting the wrong party. These people are influenced by declaring false promises and gifts before the election. There are many others in the urban areas who do not trust are losing trust in all parties and do not cast their votes. A proper awareness can help a smooth electoral process.

The present day politicians do not enjoy the trust of the people - it surely is trust deficiency no doubt
