I cant disagree with your apprehension or satirical clairvoyance. In India the agenda for a public talk is set either by national media or the political parties. We do not discuss our own issues till situations turn very grim. It is like waves and one wave come and replaces another wave. Similarly tomorrow another issue will strike the headlines public mind will be busy discussing that forgetting the older one. But in this case it is the law enforcers who are more important. They shpuld not forget some of their colleagues have been fired for abdicating their duties. One constable or a sub-inspector is not enough, some big heads need to roll so that the police and general administration folks feel the hanging of the sword of Democles.

But there is lesson to learn. When there was rape earlier in Delhi, nothing happned. When that was repeated again sometime later nothing happened. When it happened many times more, nothing happened. But when it happened with 6 accused, something terrible happened. All people without any call from any organisation or any leader, spontaneously reacted collecting at one place proving the authorities like a wake up call. If the authorities does not take note of this lesson, something explosive is going to take place next time!
