Not only in typing but in speaking too the meanings can be misinterpreted. Like in Australia a woman while bidding farewell to Prince Charles uttered, "It is always a pleasure to see you going".

I heard that in Urdu - Ek nukta (a dot) makes a difference between Khuda (The God) and Zuda (Parting), though don't know much about it. However, though I never made this mistake, but give this example, when people say spelling mistakes don't matter (though I myself make a lot) - An E turns a "Hymn" into "Hymen" and you know the difference between Hymn and Hymen, so better be careful, next time you make a mistake. :-)
Personally my most often repated mistake is writing Yoru in place of Your, due to wrong pressure on keys at worng times. :-)

Indeed Shintz. Sometimes this careless typing error can cause havoc among concerned if the meaning turns a turtle upside down. However, if the recipient is of sane and of sportive nature (besides knowledgeable enough to detect and read correctly, ignoring the innocent/unintentional typing errors/mistakes), then there is no fear of apprehension or question of facing the dire consequences of misunderstanding. You personally know, that I write extensively especially with my emailing for the purpose of business, for my contacts, with friends, dear ones and occasional too; so there are ample chance to meet the horror of typing mistakes (though not made deliberately). One was a grave one really, and certainly not funny. Once I was to visit to Ruby Hospital in Pune to meet a senior person, a respected retired government officer undergoing bypass surgery over there. Both his children a son and daughter were with me in college and so there was quite a good rapport with that family and we were ...more

Noone can escape. I will narrate an incident.
I sent a circular to a senior officer. His initial being K.S.S. I wrote it as A.S.S. by mistake. He stopped talking to me and turned his face away whenever we crossed.
