First define what is the public place and there must be separate smoking zone atlease before making such law in place. This is not effective if there is a given place for smokers to smoke and then put heavy fine if they are not smoking there. It is just to gain publicity and to make fun of law & order in India. There is no proper defination of public place and always prone to break the laws. If they seriously thinnking about this then proper arrangement must be taken place by them to allocate the spaces for smoking. By putting this law, somkers are not going to leave the smoking or they completely stop the smoking at public places. Moreover it will encourage corruption to cops who will take bribes like traffic police. There is no thinking by Ambumani Ramadoss and another failure like action taken on AIIMS.
