The tundra is a cold barren wasteland that includes snow, rocks and very little variety in vegetation. Some of the animals that live there include the Arctic Fox, Caribou, Ermine, Grizzly Bear, Musk Ox, Snowy Owl, Polar Bear and Harlequin Duck. Not too many choose or are able to survive this type of area.

Animals that live in the tundra have special adaptations that allow them to survive the
extreme temperatures and conditions that are present in a tundra.
Some of them are-
Arctic tundras--- Arctic foxes, Arctic hares, caribou, ermine, lemmings, musk oxen, polar bears, porcupines, Arctic shrews, squirrels, voles, weasels, wolves.

Alpine tundras---elk, marmots, mountain goats, pikas, sheep

In addition to these some fish and insects are also found in these area.
