No. not advisable. instead put in Postal MIS which will give 8% return or to a mutual fund equity diversified scheme if your time horizon is 5 years this can give you return of 12% plus.

Alchemist is a group of company. There are many companies with the starting name "ALCHEMIST". But you are asking about "Alchemist Infra Realty Ltd (A..I.R.L)." which are collecting money from investors.
* It is neither SEBI registered nor BSE & NSE enlisted. If anybody is saying that it is SEBI registered co. ask him the SEBI registered no.
** Don't be confused with different companies with similarity :
1) Alchemist Infra Realty LImited (AIRL) - not SEBI registered. *(you are investing this co.)
2) Alchemist Realty LImited. - SEBI registered.
It is requested to be careful about everything then invest.

**** It is very amazing that there is no name of Alchemist Infra Realty Limited (AIRL) in their own website.

One has to diversify his investment portfolio. There is safe investment where you get minimal interest and there are risk based investments where you get big interest. One has to spread ones investment. It all depends on your age and your earning capacity. The thumb rule is 100 minus your age is the percentage of your money you can invest in risk. For example if you are 30 years of age then 100-30 = 70. You can invest upto 70% of your money in risk based investment as you have the time to recuperate your loss should there ever be one.
Having said that why not invest in a bank? They give you upto 10% interest now. Be it nationalised or private as AXID, HDFC, ICICI. They are very safe.
Happy investing :)
