TRP stands for Television Rating Point. All TV channels keep a track of it to find out how many viewers are watching their programme. With that, they decide whether or not to continue a particular programme.

INTAM is the electronic rating agency in India. 'People meters' are installed in sample homes. These electronic gadgets continuously record data about the channels watched by family members. The agency prepares national data on the basis of its sample homes' readings.
