NGO, as it implies so long , can perform any type works related to Agriculture, Industries & Services etc. for the benefits of Human Societies, so long the motiff is purely non-profiteering. It has a radical differences with the Cooperatives. Cooperatives can make profits and distribute it amongst the members. NGOs can not do so and purely voluntary / non-profit making concern.

This should be a topic of National Debate as most NGOs are heavily dependant on human resource which is abdundant in this country. The cooperative movement which carried a high speed during the 50s & 60s is now limited to Real Estate Business and a few successful cooperatives else under the socialistic garb of Cooperation many autocratic organisation thrived with some politicians assumed power to use it a setting to employ their own kith and kins. The meaning of NGOs ,Activism and Co-operation should be thoroughly explained before the debate.Nevertheless this will be subject to legislation as differential status will have bearing on basics of Democracy
