Mr Modi said so because he wants to get sympathy from the public to become PM whereas SG does not want to be PM of India.....hence she does not require say so :-))

You must ge some education, at least from Google.
Sonia's father, a building contractor in Italy, sent her daughter to England for studying English literature. There she worked in the college canteen of Trinity College as a waitress, like most students from foreign countries do everywhere. Rajiv Gandhi also went to Trinity College and used to come to the canteen where she met Sonia.
Sonia was not a waitress in Italy and Rajiv did not travel from England to Italy to meet her.

Modi worked as chai wala and it is already known to all. So, he thought why not say it loudly? It might bring in some more votes of chai walas !! Good idea, isn't it!!???
