Under normal terms, at academic level, the BTU is British Thermal Unit.

In day to day Engineering, BTU is used as abbrevation to a modified bearing called as BALL TRANSFER UNIT or BALL CASTOR which makes the movement of heavy objects on an Work Table of Presses easier.
