Q.

It's a shameful disclosure of CBI director Ranjit Sinha that a version of the report on coal investigation, submitted to judges last month was seen in advance by Law Minister Ashwani Kumar, and bureaucrats in the Coal Ministry and the Prime Minister's Office, has yet again revealed the harsh reality about the misuse of CBI for political reasons. Comments pls.

The new regulation will certainly help to nip this menace in the bud. In this regard, one more step is essential. Even after this strict regulation, if a party gives ticket to a court-framed convict, the party should by law be disallowed from contesting that seat in the relevant election. We also need to ponder whether our representatives are eligible and competent enough to take monetary decisions.
