Q.

What is the most interesting factor in a movie which you choose when you decide to watch a movie; you look for the nice story, or best presentation, or the best actors, or dialogues, or simply a film with spices for time pass?

I like to watch the movie if it contents a good story line even if the movie has relatively new comer in it. then the way they presented , then if all these comes , automatically actors will be best only. I have watched Saransh for its beautiful story and brilliant perfromance, Anupam Kher and Rohini Hattangidi is quite brilliant as an old couple who lost their only one child and how they suffer the panks of pain is brilliantly shown in the film. It may not be a commercial success, but brilliant in everything. The same with Shankarabharanam, the acting, the story line and the music , all superb and all Bimal Roy production which i like the most due to the presentation . hence i will go for the nice story and then presentation and then go for actors and if all these things are there the music definately will be the master piece.

These days I don't go out to see any movie. Earlier I would go for any movie which would be either entertaining or with some message. I like decent films where pretensions about great work are not projected in promos. If a film is good it will come out when we go and see we don't need a director or actor to tell us what they wanted to do and what a great piece of art their film is...

Even if it is a copy if it is made decently and for a purpose or message it appeals to me. Even then I have some reservations about not seeing some actors' films. They just drive me away from the screen.

There have been so many people who were responsible for my going to the cinema hall or even TV screen, like Kishore Kumar, Madhubala, Vijay Anand, Sunil Dutt, Shammi Kapoor, Chetan Anand, Geeta Bali, Basu Bhattacharya, Feroz Khan, Mumtaz, Tanuja, Rajesh Khanna, Naseeruddin Shah, Clint Eastwood, Farooq Sheikh, Sai Paranjape, Topol, Gulzar, Vinod Khanna, Rajesh Roshan, Dharmendra, Pran, Ajeet, Parveen ...more

I am known for mood swings....and...it depends on that particular day in what mood phase I am....! I donot mind if I have to watch an old one ! On occassions, after seeing the reports or reviews, I make up my mind to watch the movie. There are instances when in the company of friends, and, family I go to watch a moview of their choice !

Hi, A nice story is not a must for me.I like people who experiment with themes and make us think a little bit.Padmarajan ,movies ,I liked them for that reason. Humour can be enjoyable. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie Bhejafry. It didnot have the above mentioned factors.Photography can be enjoyable Ashoka is a good example. Some old songs of 50' 60' are very enjoyable though movies cannot be enjoyed much. I enjoy Movies of Basu Chaterjee, Basu Bhata charya , Shyam Benegal also Hrishkeh Mukherjee's,more than Karan johar's and Yash Chopra's formula movies. Angoor is humour movie which has no great story and not at all realistic also but it was really fun watching.I enjoy movies having nice enchanting music and songs, too. But equally enjoy serious historical movies ,especially Western made movies.I do watch Hollywood movies and was very touched and carried away by some .I enjoy tamil, malayalam ,bengali movies ,too.I dont know waht attracts me exactly.I cant define it.I prefer to watch a movi ...more
