If we are a member of say Gymkhana or any of the old Colonial club, started by Britishers, does it make any sense to give up the membership just because in the past, the club used to be patronized by Britishers and there used to be a board at the club gate saying Indians and Dogs are not allowed. What has happened in the past has happened. Today when British are ready to respect and treat us as equal why should we sulk and spoil things by refusing to accept their friendship. Some politicians may propose such ideas.
