If u claim rebate u can receive a notice.
Only then u need to explain the matter.
If they are satisfied, then alls well.
Otherwise u file revised return.
This way onus falls on IT Dept to put thi

Priovided the money has been paid from your own bank account if the premium is paid from your wifes account then U cannot clain the tax benefit
