My wife (24) is always far away from any kind of food, especially from sweets.
she is so slim and under weight. we have a 4 yrs old boy. how can i help her out to gain weight?

Weight Gain

For gaining weight the simple answer is you need more calories than what you burn every day doing day to day activities or you may be active and have an exercise routine.

Ideal weight is suggested not only the basis of your height but on basis of your frame too. If you 5 feet 7/8 inches than your ideal would be 60 - 66 kgs if you have a medium body frame. (small frame 55 - 62 kg and large frame 65-74 kgs)

Your balanced meal should include increased portions of complex carbohydrates, proteins and good fats apart from lost of water (about 8 glasses a day).

Why is protein important for weight gain?
You need adequate protein foods in your daily diet to gain muscle mass. Eggs, Meat, Fish, Poultry, Milk, and Cheese contain good quality Protein. Nuts, Seeds, Peas, Beans, Lentils, Tofu, Yeast, Soy products are good sources of Protein if combined with other plant sources to get all essential amino acids. ...more

Guide her to take more vegetables and fruits. Protein is very important . So dhal,cereals, etc., should form part of food. Sweet is enemy to health. Milk is good . If she is smart and active, you need not worry about her.
