Q.
My sister in law is a Christian, and we are hindu (maharastrian). she is going to chruch and having a host. (eating which father giving). and also doing a puja with us. even satyanarayan pooja also seating with Husband. (big brother). but some where i heard that if she is christian, not convert in hindu, so she cant do pooja, it is true. can somebody explain me what is the rule. bcoz i or my mother in law cant say anything her without knowledge.

There is nothing wrong when it comes to prayers. Let her pray as she and her husband like. One can pray as he or she likes. Till she does not hurt the sentiments of people in the family and is not a problem to others, there is nothing to worry.

God is one. The name is different. If she sees the god either in the form of jesus or satya narayana. Now a days there is no hard and fast rule, this is the god only one particular religon people will worship. All people go the vaishnave devi and ajmer darga.

In Hinduism there is no such rule to prevent people from there religions from doing pooja. So your christian relative can do it.
You must understand that Hinduism is not just a religion but a collection of universal faiths which were prevalent much before the religions, which consider other religions as inferior, came into existence.

I believe that everybody who believes in god, can pray and sit in pooja. its better the sister in law understands herself, if she doesnot, please get it confirmed whether she has converted herself, if not, you can speak to her, person to person
