My friend is arriving from srilanka for a holiday with us in Mumbai.she has taken a return ticket after four days on Srilankan Airlines.now if we want to extend her stay will the airline refund her amount or adjust to the price of the new ticket??/ Confusedplsss help.

Lol..it is not unusual for one to cancel and re-book a ticketIm sure Srilankan Airlines would also do it but it depends on what type of ticket your friend has boughtif a non-refundable one then I dont think its possible to refund. Also the earlier you cancel the same the better. Check with your friend the type of ticket and then look up sites like http://www.cleartrip.com/flight-booking/srilankan-airlines.html which would allow to understand the status better.

If its a business class ticket, definitely it wud be postponed. If its in the economy class the airlines authority may charge some amount provided seat is available.

I think they will not refund ,rather they will book for another day when she wants to return ,but off course they should be informed about this

Ticket is valid for at least 6 month so u can change date of ratun journey as desired...
