My childhood friend is Amway associate, I asked him to sell me one product on discount, but he said "no, business is business", I felt bad, do you think is there any reason for me to feel bad ?

Business is business is a good policy , but products like amway are sold at huge margins and with lots of offers. looks like your friend wants to do maximum business using the friendship tag he has given you. you stop treating as friend (atleast when buying some goods from him ) compare the prices with market and negotiate with him. he will be forced to give huge discounts.
