Nehru's favourate was Dom Perignon which is the costliest Scotch. As for the other you should know to read between the lines-We should learn to love our enemies(wife & sister). Now start following them.

J. L. Nehru and Gandhi were against drinking only to get Muslim votes in their favor. Otherwise, drinking is not such a bad thing. If you look at history, Sura was an accepted part of Indian culture, until 1,000 years back, when invasion started and 1,000 years of slavery can change the thinking style of a nation and may start thinking in the same terms the ruling class.

Today, If we try to show our love to Pakistan and China, our biggest enemies, they will give us a hard kick and shatter us to pieces. Mahatma Gandhi lived in a different time and era.
Drinking in moderation is not bad. But dont become an addict.
