You manupulating the words. He had said, to keep the Communal forces out of power.
Communalism is present in all parties including BJP and Congress. If Congress pampers Muslims for their votes, BJP too has two Muslims which it puts in front on TV. For Muslim votes of course, no?!!
Mamta, a couple of days back, said from a stage that she pulled out of UPA "On the pobitra day (pavitra day) of Jummabar." Meaning on Friday (Jumma = Friday). She was told later that Muslims don't add 'bar' after Jumma. Jumma in Arabic mean 'to gather' and pray on Jumma (Friday). She was trying all that she knew (Jummabar!) to attract the Muslims of Bengal. For votes of course.

With muslim-league as ally in kerala,& also suported at crucial voting in parliament,it is a misnomer to raise finger on others as non-secular,& BJP does not stand at present to claim for formation of govt.
Therefore Mulayam tilling ground by crocodile tears to seek room to stand with congress & intetion is largly, but,to save skin from CBI,that way, Anna was right to sek autonomous body of CBI under Lokayukt.

By religious (or communal) party he means Hindutave parties. The source of power for Mulayam is the Muslim vote bank. In order to please them, he feels that, he has to show he is against BJP.
He is the same Mulayam who had inducted Kalyan Singh from BJP into his party
