He did not divide; he did not want the partition of the county. It was Zinna's lust for power; for which too Gandhi had agreed to make him Indian PM; but there were clashes. Gandhi was a saviou rather than calling him responsible for the unfortunate event. But, the greed of people was greater than his virtues could impress them.

M k ghandhi DID NOT devide this is the doing or Mr Jawahar Lal Nehru, the so called best prime minister. had he agreed to mr jinnah being made prime minister at that time there would not have been any west and east pakistan. it would all have been united India.
