No. ramanathan Krishnan is the greatest tennis player India ever produced. He lived in the era of Rod Laver, Ken Rosewell and had gone as high as the 2nd spot in world ranking . Vijay Amirtharaj and Ramesh Krishnan have had better singles success than him and Mahesh Bhupathi is regarded as the best doubles player ahead of him.

He is one of the best Indian Tennis players but I am not sure whether he is the best. The other greats are Vijay Amrithraj, Ramesh Krishnan and Mahesh Bhupathi among men and Sania Mirza, till date, the best woman lawn tennis player of India.

He is definitely good - perhaps the best ever Indian lawn tennis player is Ramanthan Krishnan. He excelled without any support as I heard from my dad.
