Two battles were faught between Md Ghuri and Prithwiraj Chouhan .in the battle field of Tarain. The first battle was won by Prithwiraj and Ghuri flewed away. Again in the next year Ghori attacked Delhi and this time he won the battle. However Ghori returned to his native place by offering the Sultanate to his slave Kutubuddin Aibak in the same year and thus the Islam Rule in India emerged and Delhi sultanate or the slave dynasty established.
