Not only the reason of good monsoon ,but, the Fertiliser Ministry has moved a proposal to remove cap on DAP policy in light of soaring DAP prices globally and shortage in domestic market. The annual requirement of DAP is around 11-12 million tones, media reports suggests over 8 million tonne is met through imports from Morocco, Jordan, China and the US and the rest is produced indigenous.and the Government NEW DELHI: Shares in most fertiliser stocks gain on hopes that the government would consider giving freedom to fertilisers companies to fix maximum retail price of di-ammonium phosphate (DAP) in a cabinet meet scheduled for consideration early .
