Leaving aside the question of whether it is late or not, can we concentrate on the fact as to whether he deserves such a high award. Rajesh khanna was a superstar during the period from 1969 to 1975 and entertained the audience a lot. At the same time he was also known to be a very egoistic person, created tantrums on the sets, not a good husband and father, so much so his wife left him along with their children. When you give a Padma Vibhushan to a person, whether he is a good person or not, should that not be taken into consideration or not? Simply because he was a Congress MP once, does it make him eligible for such a high award?
