There are many good fast bowlers around, including Shane Bond, Brett Lee, Dale Steyn, Shoaib Akhtar and Shaun Tait. All of them clock above 150 regularly. I think Shoaib has the record for bowling the fastest ball.

The Pakistani pace ace Shoaib Akhtar has now officially become the fastest bowler in the world. He bowls at a speed of about 100 miles per hour. (161 kilometres per hour) He has surpassed the legendary Australian speedster Jeff Thomson's speed record. The batsman who faced the fastest delivery (by Akhtar) was Craig McMillan of New Zealand. Akhtar bowled this ball in a One-day International match at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore (Pakistan) on April 27, 2002.
