It would indeed have been much different if Sardar Patel would have been made the PM but for the inclination & soft corner of Gandhi Nehru became the PM. Sardar Patel was convinced by Gandhi to be the home minister for which he agreed with quite difficulty. He was the true Iron Man needed to foster strong steps for building a strong India. If he would have been the PM for sure the Kashmir issue would have been solved & we would not have had such corruption issues arising so often as he was a tough task master quite unlike Nehru who was soft cornered towards the bureaucrats!!

In the presence of Pundit Nehru Sardar Patel could never have been the PM....itz bcz Nehru and his family had financed the freedom movement ... So it was pre-determined that Nehru would be the PM of free India....
