U can go to ooty via pollachi its just 115km away....both places r worth goin...

I think both are good . one can visit any time. Even thoguh I am from Tamil Nadu I have not visited both the places.

Obviously Pollachi can't beat OOTY of it's natural scenery. However, you can also go visit Pollachi as it's not too far from OOTY.

Pollachi and Ooty , both places are nothing short of beauty. I have been to Ooty , I was blown over
. Pollachi , i have heard is awesome too. I suggest you toss a coin and just go where luck takes you. You wont be disappointed in any case. Avail a package to one of these locations from a site like yatra.com. The expenses are reduced significantly. Enjoy!
