I do not feel he has done any thing great for our country he played a game enjoyed it and made pots of money for himself and his family. What are his contributions for countries poor and under privileged people
does he has done any thing for upliftment of society. As a person i like him because he is least controversial and not corrupt like other players of past. This kind of players should be rewarded with sports related awards rather than Bharat Ratna.

The Maharashtra government is going to recommend Sachin Tendulkar for the countrys highest recognition Bharat Ratna.
Not only politicians of various hues but former cricketers have also rooted for Tendulkar.
Calls for the award have become louder after Tendulkar achieved the rare feat of a double century in the one-day format.
In the event Tendulkar does get this honour, he will be the first sportsman and the youngest person to be so felicitated.
Should he be awarded the highest national honour?
