Water-logging is only temporal compared to earlier times ! traffic chaos is due to affluence of Delhiites with roads being limited to minor widths, inspite of Metro which has taken quite a load. The flyovers have given some respite killing the red-light jams, yet the chaos will remain there in view of the increasing vehicles day by day !

The bad shape of roadfs and no proper arrangements for draining away the rain water.though this happens every year in the monsoon and before arrival of the rains MCD always says that they are well prepared for the coming monsoon, but just one heavy rain proves them wrong. The corruption is rampant in all govt . departments and the work on roads and drainage system is not done properly , resulting in water logging. Also in my area I see that a road is dug up by the electricity deptt.for laying underground cables and then repaired after completion of the work.however the same road is dug up again after two/three months by Jal Board, then repaired and then again after a few months by the Telephone deptt. So all the year round the roads are mostly dug up which causes water to log in.The Municipal Corporation Delhi sometime had thousnds of ghost employees who were never present but were drawing salaries regularly.

Not properly plan as per architectute design of drainage and sanitary system.
no land is maintain around road and as per law around tree there should not concrete upto a limit of distance but it is not followed.
moreover park land level is higher than the road for example on ring road millenium park level is higher than the road.so instead of water gooing to park for absobtion, park water comes on road.in actual delhi developed randomly park built much later on waste and garbage for covering dirrttness similar with byepass, gazipur.
