This is an interesting topic. We know Abraham Lincoln and John Kennedy right off the bat. With a little thought some of us can come up with James Garfield and William McKinley. Barring that, we can do what I did and search. So, four US presidents have been assassinated while in office. But, if youre interested, theres more, in a related area.
There has been speculation that Zachary Taylor and Warren G. Harding were murdered while in office. Samples taken from Taylors body after disinterment in were tested in 1991 but no evidence of arsenic poisoning was found. Harding was thought to have been the victim of a murderous plot, perhaps involving his wife, as a plotter, not a victim. No reputable evidence has been found to either prove or disprove this theory.
