Kathak Different parts of North India
Kathakali - Kerala
Kuchipudi Andhra Pradesh
Manipuri Manipur
Mohiniaattam - Kerala
Odissi - Orissa
Sattriya Natya- Assam
Although there are several others well known dances too but are excluded as they will not fit it to the category of 'classical' but are popular like Bangra / Yakshagan.
Hard to find movies like Janak Janak Payal Bhaje (Gopi Krishna), Sagar Sangam (Kamals dance inspired several to join dance class) but there are few actors/actress like Vaijayanthi Bali but their talent is not much used in movies. (Jayapradha, Hemamalini..,). Sudha chandrans case still worse, from Nachi Mayuri she made a big impress but turned into a TV acrtress (but one thing is for sure, she had shown what one can do if they have will power)
